Summary: Bias is bearish below 4032–4033. A break below 3985 opens more downside. 4060 and 4090–4100 are the sell-on-rise zones I’m watching.

Market Context

Gold eased on Friday and is heading for its sharpest weekly decline in more than four months. Rising oil prices and strong US economic data have increased expectations that the Federal Reserve may keep interest rates higher for longer.

Key Levels and Outlook

Gold has recovered above the important 4000 level, but the overall market remains under pressure. If price breaks below the previous low of 3985, a further move down would not be surprising.

If the market consolidates around 4000 for a few hours, a breakdown becomes more likely, and that’s where I’d watch for selling opportunities.

On the upside, 4090–4100 remains the best zone I’m watching for a sell-on-rise. That level is still far away. If the recovery stays weak, 4060 is a nearer zone where sellers could step in.

Important Level: 4032–4033

This is the zone to watch. If gold crosses it and holds above for a few hours, a sideways day is likely. If price gets rejected from this zone, it supports the bearish view for the day.

Final Note

The weekly close will be very important. Watch how price reacts around these levels before acting.

Update (evening): [one line on what actually happened, e.g. “Rejected 4032 and closed the week at 3,9xx. Bearish view played out.”]
