ABHILASH HAZARIKA

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Assam. I had no clear idea what I wanted to do in life. I studied at Scottish Church College in Kolkata and then did my Master’s from Calcutta University. After that, like most people, I took a corporate job in IT.

It did not last long. That life was not for me. So I left the job, without any backup plan.

I started trading in 2014. I was in my early twenties. I thought if I read enough news, newspapers and expert opinions, I would make money. That was not true.

In the next two years, I blew my account 70–80 times, at least. The amounts were small, but at that age, every loss felt very big. There was no one to tell me what I was doing wrong. I kept losing, and I did not know why.

Then I did what people do when they are desperate. I used credit cards. I took personal loans. At that time, I did not understand how big a mistake that was.

The lowest point of my life came when I had to repay those loans and I had nothing left. I sold whatever I had — laptops and small things. I mortgaged the little gold I had, just to buy groceries and manage basic needs. I was completely broke.

Please never trade with borrowed money. I learned this the hard way.

In 2016, I somehow arranged ₹3,000. I knew if I lost this also, I would have to stop trading and look for a job. This was my last chance.

All those years, I had ignored risk management. It felt boring, and I wanted quick money to solve my problems. But now I had nothing else to try. So I finally gave risk management a chance. I kept it very simple. No big targets. Only 1:1 risk-reward. And exit at the right time, no matter what my heart says.

That one decision changed everything. Even today, around 70% of my trades are 1:1.

Slowly, things became clear. Price mattered more than indicators. Fewer trades were better than more trades. Consistency did not come from finding something new. It came from removing what was not needed.

In the last few years, I have focused mainly on gold (XAUUSD). Not because gold is special, but because you understand a market deeply only when you focus on it. In 2025, I moved my base to the UAE. Today I live between Dubai and India.

I share free lessons and how I see the market. I don’t sell any system. I just show it the way I wish someone had shown me when I was 23 and losing everything.

If it makes sense to you, you will understand it with time.

Outside the charts, my life is simple and full. I’m a son who still loves sitting with his mother over tea, and a husband who loves to irritate his wife. At home, I’m the one who keeps everyone laughing. Our house is rarely quiet, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Lately, I’ve been trying to master cooking. My family is patient with my experiments, and slowly, the food is getting better. And somewhere close by, there’s always a cup of coffee.

After all the years of struggle, these small moments are what I’m most grateful for. The market is a part of my life. Not my whole life.
